A follow-up project to instagram@kdkkdk (2011-2017), still life is based on 365 images uploaded to Instagram from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018.

Every day, the artist chose an object that he can remember a particular day by and took a photograph of it. Then the single most prominent color from the photograph was extracted by PANTONE Studio App. The result, a single color image was saved in the app and uploaded to Instagram with the corresponding PANTONE color number, name of the object and date of the day when the object was photographed. By the end of the year, 365 images of colors were produced and they were later printed out to be installed in Seoul for the first time in an arrangement representing days and weeks of a year.

Images of the objects and the hand written details including the names and dates are in the back of the prints. However, since the backs are only disclosed to the buyers, the viewers have no way of knowing where the colors come from. One edition per an image was produced for the project and the same color images may exist, but the sources of the colors cannot be the same. This work is one pixel still life of the 365 objects from every 365 days.
